Kawartha Speedway Racing Under Way
June 03/07
It is now official. Racing at Kawartha Speedway is now underway and what a night of racing it was. The Dew Crew packed up and made the trip to Peterborough Ontario for what would be the debut of Limited Late Model #25 and Limited late Model #38, driven by Dave Waite and Bruce Baldock respectively. The team set out with high hopes and we come back pleasantly surprised and more than eager to get at it again when action heats up in 2 weeks time after this coming Friday's night off. It was a slow start to the night with much thrashing and hard work being put in by many of the crew members including help by Dave Waite's son and his friends. A Great big thank you to you guys for helping get the #25 ready. The team had just picked the car up the night prior from Kenyon Racing Products and the scramble to prep the car was in full force right up to the first heat of the night. Unfortunately one thing was overlooked as the sway bar was not hooked up and the #25 had a less than desirable outcome leaving the team thinking it would be another bug plagued start to the season like last year. But with the sway bar hooked up and some minor tweaks the car came alive starting scratch in the feature and quickly moved forward to the front of the field with what has to be the strongest field of cars in Ontario for the Limited Late Model class. The #25 finished a close 6th behind guys like Donaldson, Walters, Graham, Brown, and Tiermersma. Leaving the team eager and hungry for more racing. To sweeten the night the #25 Limited Late Model was steadily improving and driving like we had never seen it perform before, no longer just holding on to positions from the start of the race, but moving up through what can be argued as Ontario's strongest field of cars. Driver Dave Waite was nothing but smiles after the race, and on this night showed the team and fans taking in the show what he can do with a race car. Look to see Dave challenge for checkers or top 3's as the season progresses.
The other car #38, driven by Bruce Baldock also was on hand for opening night racing and what a car indeed. Bruce was all smiles as he signed autographs for some young fans and showed off the brand new paint scheme only painted the week prior. Bruce had a strong start to the night finishing in 5th in his heat and making the semi heat. The feature though was a bug plagued session as he had to overcome leaking fuel, and window net problems that saw him find pit road a couple of times. Bruce still finished off the night just barely missing the top 10.
All in all it was a successful and promising night for the team and we expect even better results the next race night out.
The Dew crew will be trying to get the car out this Wednesday night for practicing in hopes of taking part in Capital City Speedways ACT 100 lap event this coming weekend. As well the team will be working over time in hope of picking up and getting the new Allan Dickie crazy eights ACT Late Model for this wednesday night and ACT 100 Lapper this coming weekend. Cross your fingers!

| Tom Curley congratulates Gingras in victory lane. |
“This win is dedicated to my crew,” said a happy Gingras in Victory Lane, “They spent a very difficult two weeks since we had to put a new front clip on the car following St-Eustache. They worked very hard to get the car put back together.” In addition to repairing the car, the team debuted a new paint and graphics scheme which Gingras hoped would enable him to be more visible to his fellow competitors. About his bright red and neon yellow racer he said with a grin, “I hope everyone will be able to see me now.”
Montpelier, Vermont’s Dave Pembroke finished a strong second after leading the majority of the race at the 3/8ths mile speedplant. The ACT Tour veteran’s arrival in the pits for his first Castrol Series appearance brought the number of entries to 31, the largest Late Model stock car count in recent memory at the track.
St-Denis, Qc’s Patrick Laperle continued his recuperation following a lengthy illness with a third place finish. Local favorite Rick Rump of Carp, ON was fourth and Castrol Series point leader Jean-Francois Dery from Val-Belair, Qc completed the top five.

| Gingras was quick to give his crew credit for the hard work they put in to make this win possible. |
Freshman racer Eric St-Gelais started on the pole in the Castrol Series’ lone appearance in the province of Ontario and led the first circuit. Pembroke, who stated third, used his experience over the rookie to vault into the lead for lap two. He held the advantage until the 13th circuit when hometown hero Rump took over.
The Toromont CAT 100’s lone caution came on the 33rd circuit for a minor backstretch spin. On the restart, Pembroke, who was on the front two next to Rump, jumped into the lead, a position he held until lap 73.

2 More Marketing Partners Sign For 2007
June 10/07
The Dew Motorsports team is excited to announce two more marketing partners for the 2007 racing season. The addition of Wynn's Xtend on behalf of Hugh Dolan Distributor's and the addition of Ennis Truck Lines Inc. came only days before what was the teams biggest race of the season so far. These two new partners were displayed on the hood of the Dave Waite driven Limited Late Model #38 as the team tried to qualify for what was arguably the largest field of cars to see Capital City Speedway in a very long time. 31 ACT Late Models came out this past weekend to race for the checkers and the Limited Late Model #38 was among them, qualifying for the last spot on the grid and finishing the day off with a 26th place final position. The team came into the weekend knowing this would be a long shot at best to make the show and were extremely happy to just have the opportunity to run in the event and to display the newest of our marketing partners. Look for the team to take to the track this coming Wednesday night at Capital City Speedway and Friday night at Kawartha Downs Speedway in Peterborough Ontario.

Successful Weekend For Dew Crew
June 18/07
The Dew Motorsports team had a fun filled and successful weekend that saw Dave Waite drive the #25 Limited Late Model at Kawartha Speedway on Friday night and Peterborough Speedway on Saturday. The second race night at Kawartha Speedway and the #25 showed signs of future success at this track as Dave ran hard in his first heat finishing 2nd and attaining a birth in the semi. The feature saw the #25, sporting a new marketing partner in Beamish and Sons Towing and Recovery, finish in a respectable 6th place, just one position behind Canadian Motor Sports Hall of Famer Stompin Tom Walters.
Saturday proved to be a day of going down memory lane as the team headed to Peterborough Speedway, where the year prior , Dave was 2nd in the championship points. The team was very eager from the get go as Dave ran 2nd in his first heat and ran well in his 2nd, securing the pole for the start of the 30 lap feature. Stompin Tom Walters was on hand for racing action as well as he easily won both his heats. The green flag flew in the feature seeing Dave pull away from the field and begin to lap cars within the first 15 laps. With most the field half a lap back or down a lap, the caution flew on lap 21, bringing the cars back together, but more importantly, allowing Stompin Tom Walters who was for most arguments sake, out of the picture up till then. Stompin Tom and Dave would restart the 9 lap dash sitting in 2nd and 1st respectively. The laps kept counting down and the teams eyes eagerly glancing to the scoreboard to watch each lap count down as the two raced hard, pulling away from the field once again. Things got interesting when Tom tagged Dave and got him squirly only to see Dave recover and pull away by a bit. It wasn't till the last lap of the 30 lap race that saw the Veteran Stompin Tom take advantage of an opened door to take the Checkered Flag in what has to be the closest and most exciting race as of yet this race season for the Dew Crew. The team gained a lot of valuable set up experience this race and were thrilled to have run with what can be argued the strongest driver and team in Limited Late Model Racing. Great race Tom, that was fun!

Lucas Oil Teams Up To Bring a Night of Entertainment
June 18/07
Lucas Oil teamed up to bring a great night of entertainment and excitement to Peterborough Speedway on June 16th. The Four Funs, Peterborough Hyundai Mini Stocks, the Late Models, and the TQ Midgets all took part in the racing excitement. While Keith Graham was the lucky father on Saturday who took home a Peterborough Speedway Father's Day prize package which included a tool-belt, complete with tools courtesy of Job Mate, as well as the first ever copy in Canada of the Tailgater's Guide to Racing, which will be available to everyone in the coming weeks at Chapters. The book include tailgate recipes, information about camping and cooking gear, as well as tailgater guides to almost 300 tracks in North America. In the Four Fun division, Wyatt Harvey and Bernie Vanderzwet traded wins in the qualifying heats, and Vanderzwet took the feature for the second straight week and third time this season. Donna Anderson and her double-zero car had to settle for third in both qualifiers and the feature, while Speedway rookie Ayrran Hart took the night off while waiting for his car to be rebuilt after a scary crash a few weeks ago. The Peterborough Hyundai Mini Stocks provided fans with a ton of excitement, as four different drivers won the four qualifying heats. Robert Kerr finished second in his first heat, but took the checkered flag in the second, as well as the feature, increasing his lead in the points race. Jack Hannah won his first heat, but after a couple of passing penalties, Hannah settled for fourth in the feature. Riley Ekins and Dan Demers finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. The Peterborough Speedway Late Models ran a 30-lap feature, and for Stompin' Tom Walters, it was a good thing they did. Walters' car #47 won both qualifying heats and seemed unstoppable until the feature, when Dave Waite's car #25 seemed on the verge of a flag-to-flag victory; however, a late caution brought Walters back into the mix and he patiently waited until he had the opportunity to pass Waite who finished second, ahead of Dwayne Fulford who rounded out the top three. The final event of the evening went to the TQ Midgets, who ran a 25 lap feature for the finale. The Midgets surpass the Legends in speed, and rival the Late Models for power, so the fans at Peterborough Speedway were in for a treat. After a pre-race show that saw driver introductions, and a Lucas Oil call to ‘Start your Engines’, followed by a couple of laps around the track in which the Midgets looked more like a synchronized swimming team than anything else, the racing began. The Yellow #3 car of Todd Cresswell started in the middle of the 20+ car pack, and Cresswell patiently passed the cars in front of him until a caution flag on lap 21 saw him in third spot with only four laps to go. Through a series of twists, turns, and professional passing maneuvers, Cresswell made his way to the start of the pack, leaving Randy May and Lucas Smith to finish second and third respectively. All four car series left fans hanging until the checkered flag dropped! Also, the Peterborough Speedway Kids club was in full swing, with children having to nominate their fathers and guardians for Father of the Year. Also, the folks at Lucas Oil and Pepsi provided dozens of clothing and race gear giveaways for fathers, while Pete Dalliday and Jordan Burnie orchestrated a Father’s Day Chicken Dance at intermission. Racing resumes at Peterborough Speedway on Saturday, June 23rd. The Four Funs, Mini Stocks, Hurricane Midgets, and Late Models will all hit the track. Pit Gates open at 4:00pm, spectator gates at 6:00pm, and the racing gets under way at 7:00pm. Don’t forget to check out the Peterborough Speedway Souvenir booth for programs, gifts, racing accessories, and photos from the entire year at Peterborough Speedway!

Special Thanks To A&B Ford
June 26/07
The whole Dew Motorsports team would like to send out a very special thank you to A&B Ford out of Perth Ontario. The Dew Motorsports team this past weekend recently found ourselves in a bind with one of our tow vehicles in the shop being repaired. A truck that the team relies on for our long haul race adventures. The people at A&B Ford were very kind and set us up with a tow vehicle so that we could continue with our race weekend as planned at both Kawartha Speedway on Friday night and Sunset Speedway, north of Barrie on Saturday night. So from all of us at Dew Motorsports, thank you very much and best of all we did you proud as Dave claimed his first checkers of the race season on Friday night. As for the truck? it was a beauty, here are some pictures of it and if you find yourself in the market for a good reliable truck, feel free to visit the fine folks at A&B Ford in Perth Ontario and they will take care of you.

First Checkers of The Year!
June 26/07
The Dew Motorsports team is thrilled to announce that this past race weekend saw our first checker flag of the 2007 race season fly. To make this event even better it came at Kawartha Speedway, a track that we've been setting and aiming our targets a little higher this year. The checkered flag flew for Dave Waite and the #25 Limited Late Model in his Semi race which saw some of the best talent in Ontario run. This was Dave Waite's first win at Kawartha Speedway and his first of the 2007 racing season. This was an exciting race to be seen for both the team and fans taking in the racing action. Dave ran most of the race on the outside sitting in second place with everyone sitting on the edge of our seat hoping to see the checkers fly, and with a handful of laps left, Dave made his move and took over the #1 position, attaining the first of many goals set out for this race season. The team eagerly awaits our next Friday night race at Kawartha Speedway. Congratulations to Dave Waite and good job to the whole team for a great night of racing.
The Dew Motorsports team as well raced at Sunset Speedway the following night which saw their largest Late Model field to do date this season with 21 Late Models taking the Green flag. Unfortunately the team was unable to get a solid setup under Dave but we are eager to try again another time. We finished off the night 18th.
