Illingsworth Releases Driver!
Sept
8/2008
Team Illingsworth out of the Ottawa area who race at Capital City Speedway in the thunder car class have recently let go of this years driver Dave Waite who has been seen in the orange #17. Both of the Illingsworth cars were on hand at the Monster Jam event that eventually was rained out, but both of their cars looked strong in their heat races. Although the event was rained out, all talk was on Tim! Tim who was on hand for this show was the backup driver and filling in for regular Dave Waite, and what an amazing show he put on. After his heat race, Tim who happens to be the car owner and part team owner, was signed on for next years driving duties after his near "win" , which left Dave looking for a ride next year! A move that is sure to surprise fans throughout the Ottawa Valley. Dew Motorsports was also on hand at Monster Jam in a partnership "form" with Team Illingsworth for this big race and a deal was hammered out for undisclosed terms that saw Dave Waite return to the Dew Motorsports camp for the 2009 racing season. Terms are still undisclosed but rumors have it some top secret thunder car advice, and a can of Pepsi, was exchanged to make the deal happen. And boy did those cars fly! Tim "No Horsepower" Illingsworth really had the orange thunder car hooked as it cornered with ease and finished 2nd in his heat race. Look to see team Illingsworth next season at Capital City Speedway and look to see Veteran driver Dave Waite make a return to driving duties in the Dew Motorsports Limited Late Model #25.
ps- This news article has been published as an inside joke between all parties involved. Dew Motorsports is excited to have Dave Waite return to the #25 for next season, which will be a full schedule of racing! Stay tuned for news on the schedule, marketing partners and other information. #25
Returns To Peterborough Speedway!
Sept
12/2008
The #25 Limited Late Model returned to Peterborough Speedway for the first time in the 2008 season. A race that not only saw the Dew Motorsports team return to the track, but also one of only a handful of races this season for the team. Driver Steve Yendall who has been out a couple times with the car this season was unable to make the trip, but Dave Waite who is no stranger to the car or track, was able to make the trek in preperation for both next season and the Autumn Colors. Unfortunately, mother nature did not allow for the race to happen which was disappointing for a team that has seen little racing action this season. The highlight was that the car was able to be tested and a shakedown had occured with the car turning lap times just shy of last season, leaving off where it had last season when it was so dominant at Peterborough at the races we managed to fit in. The following are a few pictures that were snapped during the shakedown session. Thank You JP.

As well the Dew Motorsports team would also like to thank Beamish Towing and Recovery for their assistance this past weekend in helping get the car to the track. Thank you for the use of the hauler.
